If First You Don't Succeed, Try, Try Again...
On December 17, 1903, Orville and Wilbur Wright completed construction and successfully flew their first airplane called the Wright Flyer. This was a turning point in history because it changed the way people traveled. Today passengers can go from St. Paul, MN to London, England in just about 8 hours and 15 minutes. Before the airplane, a Transatlantic voyage took around a month. The airplane contributed to our transportation, military technology, and creation of the space shuttle.
